Will this work with a secondary ele or would the attributes not be high enough to do enough damage to kill them b4 they run?

Not in my experience - you need the elementalist runes for it to work. I tried doing this without the superior runes and it sucked.

This will be my last post in this thread - it's getting ridiculously frustrating to watch. The same questions come up again and again, and every time I have provided an answer that works 100% of the time, along with "I'll show you in-game if you have trouble with it."
None of the posted builds are faster or more consistent than these:
Trolls, Minos, and Undergrowth (Proph & Factions):
1. Armor of Mist
2. Mist Form [E]
3. Glyph of Sacrifice
4. Meteor Shower
5. Bed of Coals
6. Lava Font
7. Frozen Burst
8. Flame Burst
Trolls and Minos (Proph only):
1. Armor of Mist
2. Mist Form [E]
3. Glyph of Sacrifice
4. Meteor Shower
5. Mark of Rodgort
6. Lava Font
7. Frozen Burst
8. Flame Burst
Use Armor of Mist (1) to get to your farming destination quickly and safely. Once you have aggro'd all the trolls or minos in the area, or as many as you comfortable with, simply stop and hit 'C' followed by 2-8. If you don't aggro ALL the minos in elona, I recommend that you pull your minos off to the side before chaining the skills, so you don't get any healthy ones joining halfway through.
Note 1) Yes, I keep Armor of Mist for mino runs... the speed boost gets you down to the lake faster, and allows you to aggro a lot of minos before they actually start to follow (just like everything else, I can show you in-game if you don't understand).
Note 2) I know Flame Burst is slightly less damage than Inferno, but it more than makes up for it with the extended range. It is not uncommon for an enemy to get caught on something (usually just stuck behind one of its buddies), and the extra range on Flame Burst ensures that everything gets hit by that last damage spike. Nothing has ever lived because Flame Burst lacks that 10 more damage. Also, f you ever need to let out one or two more spells to finish an enemy, Flame Burst has half the recharge time of Inferno.
Note 3) This build kills in one simple skill chain. No, it's not quickly repeatable, but it doesn't need to be. The reason for that is simple... it may be fun killing the troll bosses, but it's a huge waste of time. Farming effectively is getting the most cash out of the time you put in. In the minute and a half you spend waiting for meteor shower to recharge so you can nuke the boss, I'm cleaning up after another bunch of 20 trolls.
Note 4) The ideal weapon for this is any staff with +20 energy (+10 base, +5>50 inscription, +5 insightful head) and a 20% enchant wrap. You don't need faster cast time, you don't need faster recharge, you don't need armor, you don't need to meet the requirement to do wand damage. There are a few weaponsmiths in NF who can make this for you for 5k + a few cheap materials, and the mods are cheap, too. Or, if you like greens, you can use the Fervorborn Staff or any green Ghostly Staff (Divine, Grim, Inspired, Everlasting).
Note 5) Yes, this can be done without using all superior runes, or without having all attribute points, or even without being Ele primary. Again, just like everything else, I'll help you out in-game if you're having problems.

Oh, and if you don't feel like reading back a bit, here's my Gates of Kryta build too:
1. Lava Font
2. Flame Burst
3. Rodgort's Invocation
4. Glyph of Sacrifice
5. Meteor Shower
6. Elemental Attunement [E]
7. Fire Attunement
8. Aura of Restoration
Enter GoK and start running. Off to the left is a fence, behind which is a hosue and everyone's favorite piggy, Oink. Do NOT talk to Oink... yes, he's an invincible tank, but this works better if you tank the aggro, and you won't be close to dying, anyway. Run around the left side of the house and you'll find a nice little path winding back around the house and down a hill. At the bottom of the hill is a single Hellhound snuffling around. Before aggroing, cast your three enchantments. Run down until you aggro the Hellhound - a group of Grasping Ghouls will pop up as well - and then run back halfway up the hill and wedge yourself against the wall on the right side (this helps later, if you have trouble with positioning I can show you in-game). Spam Lava Font and Flame Burst; as you kill them, more will spawn at the bottom of the hill, and some more will run in from the right side along with three Zombie Warlocks. Everything will die as they reach you, except for the Warlocks who will be bunched up, attempting to wand you from the bottom of the hill. If you positioned yourself against the wall correctly, they will be unable to "see" any corpses to animate. Use your Glyph of Sacrifice, Meteor Shower, and Rodgort's Invocation. Lots of dead undead... collect your drops and repeat.

Because of the quantity of kills, it's a nice dye spot. Also plenty of runes, and gold items - just because the weapons aren't max doesn't mean the mods aren't. It's a very fast run, and the cash piles are smaller but the numerous enemies make it at least as worthwhile as trolls/minos, if not more so. Plus, all the enemies there drop Decayed Orr Emblems, which have been used for every special event in Proph so far.

This build is AMAZING, I finally got all the skills needed for it, and i can own trolls, although they suck balls for drops, I wanted to try this build. I'll probably use it on other things, whatever I can think of..
BTW I couldn't kill whip buumbul, or w.e solo, took too long, too little energy...

I would guess it would work for ettins, but reaching them past the tengu would be...fun.
you could try echoing your Mist Form for a massive Ettin lure.

I'm sure it would work fine for ettins:
Armor of Mist up to the tengu, then re-cast Armor of Mist and cover it with Mist Form and Aura of Restoration (throw that in instead of Flame Burst or Frozen Burst, you don't need as much damage for ettins). Each tengu mes will shatter 1 enchant, leaving your Armor of Mist to run past them. Then round up all the ettins you can and cast your combo

Fun new build
I was playing around with my ele (trying to collect some truffles), and I realized that Mist Form is completely overshadowed by Shadow Form in a fast one-sequence run like we've been doing... who cares if you're left with 50 hp, everything is already dead. Shadow Form protects from spells, allowing for a new range of farming locations, and also makes attacks miss rather than Mist Form's "don't take damage" - no more adrenaline building for those trolls, etc. Then, other spells from the Shadow Arts line can replace the other water spells used: Armor of Mist -> Dark Escape, Frozen Burst -> Caltrops.
Fire: 16 (12+3+1)
Energy Storage: 9 (8+1)
Shadow Arts: 10
Dark Escape
Shadow Form [E]
Glyph of Sacrifice
Meteor Shower
Bed of Coals
Lava Font
Caltrops
Flame Burst
Enjoy!

Tain have you tried tombing yet with the assassin build? I don't know if it would work since you can't echo s/f but the damage is so much greater then the A/Me build you might be good....If you don't try it I will and I'll let you know.

my only complaint with phoenix is the slow cast time, not really worth it when you can spam 3 skills and finish everything off before phoenix casts.

them behind the first pole to stop them from running away.
